Dry-Type Transformers
Air-cooled, no oil, suitable for indoor fire-sensitive environments. Lower maintenance, but limited to moderate capacities.
Oil-Immersed Transformers
Oil-cooled, better for high-capacity and outdoor use. More robust in harsh environments, but requires oil maintenance.
When Both Work
For mid-range applications (315–1000 kVA) with no extreme constraints, both types are viable — site and cost factors decide.
