Transformer Supply by Region

Procurement standards, voltage classes, and grid frequencies differ by region. We configure IEC 60076 and ANSI/IEEE transformers for the exact requirements of each market โ€” from Sub-Saharan Africa utility grids to GCC oil & gas projects and Latin America 60 Hz networks.

๐ŸŒ

Africa & MENA

IEC 60076 ยท 50 Hz ยท 11 kV / 33 kV

Sub-Saharan Africa and North Africa operate predominantly on 11 kV and 33 kV IEC grids. XinHuan supplies distribution transformers (50โ€“2500 kVA) and compact substations for rural electrification and urban distribution network expansion.

Latin America

ANSI/IEEE ยท 60 Hz ยท 13.8 kV / 34.5 kV

Latin America runs on 60 Hz with ANSI/IEEE voltage classes: 13.8 kV and 34.5 kV are the dominant distribution standards. XinHuan manufactures 60 Hz ANSI-configured oil-immersed transformers (75โ€“3000 kVA) for utility and EPC projects.

Middle East & GCC

IEC 60076 ยท 50 Hz ยท Up to 132 kV

GCC and wider MENA utility grids use IEC 60076 at 11 kV, 33 kV, and 132 kV. High ambient temperatures (up to 50ยฐC) require ONAF cooling configurations. XinHuan supplies distribution and power transformers (10 MVAโ€“63 MVA) for utility, oil & gas, and infrastructure projects.

Renewable Energy

Solar & Wind Power

Utility-scale solar farms and wind projects demand step-up transformers that handle variable generation profiles, wide ambient temperature swings, and remote service environments with minimal maintenance windows.

Digital Infrastructure

Data Centres

Data centre power infrastructure demands near-zero downtime, strict fire codes, harmonic immunity, and the ability to scale capacity in live environments. Dry-type transformers are the standard of choice for indoor IT loads.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to questions we receive from EPC contractors, utility buyers, and project engineers worldwide.

Yes. XinHuan manufactures transformers to IEC 60076 (50 Hz, used in Africa, Europe, Middle East, and most of Asia) and ANSI/IEEE C57.12 (60 Hz, used in the Americas). Both configurations are produced in our Hefei factory. Specify your required standard when requesting a quote and we will configure accordingly. Cross-reference test documentation is available for dual-standard projects.

Our standard product range covers 50 kVA to 63,000 kVA (63 MVA), with high voltage classes from 6 kV through 132 kV. This includes distribution transformers (11 kV, 33 kV), power transformers (66 kV, 110 kV, 132 kV), dry-type transformers, compact substations, and medium voltage switchgear. Custom configurations outside this range are available on request.

Yes โ€” Africa and the Middle East are two of our primary export markets. We regularly supply utility grid projects in Sub-Saharan Africa (Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Tanzania) and GCC / MENA projects (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq). Products are configured for local grid standards: IEC 60076, 50 Hz, 11 kV and 33 kV for Africa; IEC 60076, 50 Hz, 11 kV / 33 kV / 132 kV for GCC. High ambient temperature ONAF cooling is standard for Middle East projects.

Standard distribution transformers (up to 2500 kVA, 33 kV) typically have a lead time of 6โ€“10 weeks from order confirmation and deposit. Larger power transformers (above 10 MVA or 66 kV+) are typically 12โ€“20 weeks. Lead times depend on current production schedule and order complexity. We respond to all quote requests within 24 hours and provide confirmed lead times in the formal offer.

Every shipment includes a routine test report (no-load loss, load loss, impedance, insulation resistance, induced overvoltage test), packing list, commercial invoice, and certificate of origin. Type test reports from accredited third-party laboratories are available on request. Third-party witnessed factory acceptance testing (FAT) by SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek can be arranged at additional cost for significant orders.

To provide an accurate quotation, send us: rated capacity (kVA or MVA), primary voltage (kV), secondary voltage (kV or V), frequency (50 Hz or 60 Hz), applicable standard (IEC / ANSI / GB or customer spec), cooling method if specified, vector group, quantity, installation country, and site conditions (altitude, max ambient temperature). Our RFQ form guides you through each field. We respond within 24 hours.
